Located 24 kilometres (15 miles) northeast of the city, Johannesburg International Airport (JIA) is the air transport hub and tourism gateway of Southern Africa, catering to over 11 million passengers from 53 airlines each year. Johannesburg Airport has six terminals housed in one building. Terminals 1 and 2 are for international arrivals.
